From Chuck - NO5W: Gary (W5ZL), Colin (KU5B) and I plan to be active again in the 2009 Oklahoma QSO Party as a multi-two mobile. We'll be operating two stations, and sharing the driving and operating duties. We plan to use both CW and SSB with the main focus on CW. We'll have capability on 80, 40, 20, 15, and 10 but expect 40/20 to be the money bands. From Jerry - K5YAA: | Saturday: Rogers, Nowata, Craig, Ottawa, Delaware, Cherokee. Adair, Sequoyah, Muskogee, McIntosh, Muskogee (again), Wagoner, Mayes, Rogers (again) unless time expires. I will spend some extra time in Craig and Ottawa. Sunday: Rogers, Tulsa, Osage, Pawnee, Payne, Noble, Pawnee (again), Noble (again), Kay, Grant and Garfield. I now have a driver. The one that has driven me around in this thing for the past 7 years has offered to do duty again this year. With that help I will be able to keep the signal on the air all the time and may even be able to cover another county or two. Red bud trees are beginning to bloom and with rain forecast at only a 30% chance and temperatures in the upper 60s itshould be a nice weekend to see the Oklahoma countryside. I will have 4 antennas on the roof, 40 / 20 / 80 or 15 and 6 Meters. CW mostly but SSB capable with a second radio, 15 will be checked now and then for openings and 80 will be used early and late on Saturday and early on Sunday. Pam and I will start Saturday morning from Muskogee, going to Wagner, Tulsa, Creek, Tulsa, Osage, Tulsa, Washington, Rogers, Mayes, Delaware, Adair, Cherokee, Sequoyah and back to Muskogee. On Sunday we will go South from Muskogee. Not yet sure of the route yet. Dave (W5CW) will be operating from my station in Muskogee using the club call of KK5I. Sunday - Woods, Alfalfa, Grant, Garfield, Kingfisher, Logan, Oklahoma if time left I'm going unassisted and can't operate while in motion - so I will be on and off all day. I'll try to find locations on county lines if I can to stop and operate. I'll bring my hamsticks for 80, 40, 20, and 15. Will do a mix of CW and SSB. Hope to make lots of Q's. |
